My first triathlon was at Buffalo, Minnesota, the first weekend in June, 2003, and the water temperature was 56. A novice with no wet suit doesn't forget that feeling.<br />I understand your partner for the channel swim, Doug McConnell, had cervical disk replacement surgery to get back into the sport. I am facing those same choices after an injury and would love to know more about where he had his surgery done if he might send an email to [mobiusventures@gmail.com]. Rejoining the competition in the over 50 group, if only for the swim/bike parts would be great.<br />Good luck with your continued preparation for the Channel swim.
